Livery Crono 4C Wheel from Centerline

Centerline International is proud to introduce the Livery Crono wheel – the ultimate wheel for the Alfa Romeo 4C and the first modern wheel designed and produced exclusively for the marque.

The result of a year-long collaboration with Livery Wheels, this forged wheel package weighs significantly less than the stock 4C wheels, but offers a wider footprint for improved grip, and superior strength for street or track use.

Rarely does a product reach the market while retaining the purity of the original design. The Livery Crono, much like Alfa Romeo’s 4C, has done just that. The form and concept of the Crono originated from our own Robert Steele, a longtime Alfista. The Crono honors the traditional Alfa Romeo “Phonedial” design language in a clean, motorsports-inspired wheel.

After extensive development work by the innovative team at Livery Wheels, the Crono has been optimized for strength and lightness. Meticulous hand finishing, hidden hardware, and intricate detailing give the wheel a jewelry-like appearance that compliments the lines of the 4C beautifully.

The Crono is a 3-piece wheel machined and built in the USA from the finest wheel forgings, and assembled with premium ARP hardware.

Specifications:

Front Wheels: 18” x 7.5”, 17.7 # weight (2.3 # lighter than stock)
Rear Wheels: 19” x 9.0”, 19.4 # weight (4.3 # lighter than stock)

Suggested tire sizes for the wheel set are 215/40-18 front and 245/35-19 rear. Many excellent performance tires are available in these sizes, including the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Continental Extreme Contact DW, and Bridgestone RE71-R.

The Livery Crono is a Centerline International exclusive offering. The first edition Crono will be available in 2 color combinations: Gunmetal with painted lips or Silver with polished lips.

Pricing will be $5,750.00/set for initial orders, including center caps and shipping in the continental USA.

A couple of comparison shots of the Livery wheel set vs. the factory wheels.

We've been testing the Livery Crono wheel set with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires for 3 weeks now, so I think it's time to give a short driving report.

First, a little about the design brief of the wheel set. In addition to weight reduction, we wanted to add grip without really altering the balance of the car. This is why we only added a very conservative .5" to the width of the wheels front and rear. That said, we always knew that the front would gain slightly more grip than the rear due to the seriously undersized factory front tires (they are labeled a 205 tire but actually measure close to a 175 tread width).

In short, the wheel set is performing exactly as we hoped they would. The TPMS sensors worked flawlessly and there are zero clearance issues or rubbing. It took quite a few miles for the Michelins to wear off their mold release compound and until they did they were pretty slippery (fun) but now that they are broken in they are grip monsters! The car seems to have more grip everywhere and the weight reduction gives the car a more "energetic" feeling (that one is kinda hard to accurately describe). The turn-in is sharper and there is hardly any mid-corner understeer.

Our testing has been on typical Colorado roads which are anything but smooth - everything from bumpy, twisty canyons to fast open sweepers and highways. The slightly taller sidewalls of the 214/245 tire combination mean a little more protection from craters, bumps, and potholes.

So - we couldn't be happier with this wheel set. If you have any questions please let me know!

17"/18" Stagger Available

We have had several customers interested in the Crono wheel in a 17"/18" staggered size.

Well - we strive to please and have just arranged to have these made in addition to the 18"/19" sets.

Pricing on the 17"/18" size will be slightly lower at $5,175.00 per set and the wheels should weight about 1 lb. less per corner as well!

Oh, pretty. I love the extra sidewall gives it a more "muscle-y" look to it.
