2000 GTV point gap timings

Recently I bought 2000 GTV with my dad as a way of learning mechanics, and it's just plain beautiful. Only problem is he worked on his 1750 so long ago he has forgotten this and that.

At the moment it is up and running, only problem is the timings are way off and it has a "flat spot" at low rpm. He says it's definitely the point gap and carbs that need tuning.

Could anyone tell me the point gap settings for a 2000 gtv

any help would be great, thanks

Welcome to the BB.

From memory, the point gap on the Bosch dizzy is about 0.4mm (0.016"). But it's much more accurate to use a dwell meter and adjust the points to a dwell angle of 60 degrees.
Ignition timing should be at the 'F' mark on the crank pulley at idle and at the 'M' mark at 4600RPM.
