dellorto dhla 40 identification
Hello,
I just acquired two pairs of dellorto dhla40 carbs. Both pair are of the dhla40 type without additional character. From what I read this implies that the carbs are of the performance type (hence no emission type). This can be seen from several things:
- the air bleed holes are of the recessed type
- there are less that 5 progression holes.
However, one pair has 3 progression holes, whereas the other pair has 4 progression holes.
Besides that I have a dhla40f pair of carbs, and those are of the emission type (recessed bleed holes and 5 progression holes).
My question is:
how many progression holes should an performance dhla40 carb have? In the book of Des Hammill it is written that it should be 3. However I seem to have a pair with 4 holes....
