It would seem that the 3 outlet pump will work in your '69. The procedure on the minor mods required are in this thread.

I suppose you could use a 3 port pump in place of a 2 port by just capping off the pressure relief port. I think the pressure relief port is the port closest to the electrical connection. I would not try and substitute caps. You'll probably just wind up with a leak, even if they are interchangable. You don't have to worry about capping off the PRV, because there's already a PRV on the front fuel filter ('69-'74 models).

I would recommend against a used pump of unknown quality. If you don't want your fuel supply system to be dependent on an old pump of with a dubious life, a new L-Jet supply pump is the way to go. The only mods necessary is to narrow the outlet restrictor on the injection pump to 1/16", "fatten" up the supply pump body a little so the bracket will grip it better, and use ring connectors, vice your current spade connectors. The L-Jet supply pumps are very reliable.

There are some other less expensive substitutes that owners have had success with such as the Master E2000, which was used in some Ford V-8 FI trucks. But, I have no direct experience with this substitution.

If you'd like a copy of a SPICA fuel supply system diagnostics guide, PM me an email address.
