looking for fuel filter for 74 GTV

I am trying to figure out what type of fuel filter to use between the fuel tank and fuel pump on my 74 GTV,the previous owner of my car started a conversion . He put an 82 spider Bosch JETRONIC engine in there.I have a bosch high pressure fuel pump installed but was wondering what fuel filter i should use between the pump and fuel tank, can anyone give some suggestions.

Thanks
Adrian

Yo Adrian

Did you win that GTV on eBay? I saw a white '74 at the Alfa convention with a bosch injected engine in it. I later saw it on eBay.

No actually I bought it in California (LA) from Italian Car Service. It is red my intentions was to pull that engine out and replace it with a Twin Spark engine from a 75 but funds do not allow me to do that right now.So I am staying with the engine the 82 Bosch engine for now.The car was apparently a project and never was finished so I am in the process of finishing.I also found a fuel filter for the rear I am using the stock 1/2 inch filter.I have attached a picture of the engine.

Thanks
Adrian

I think the stock Spica filters on the car should
be ok for Bosch. The stock Spica setup had a filter
under the car before the fuel pump, and one in
the engine bay on the passenger side under the
intake. The engine bay filter I think is a Fispa?
It has a replaceable element in a plastic body.
The filter under the car is a cartrige throw
away type.

While I hate replacing the one under the car, since
there is no good way to stop the fuel from leaking
all over you while you rush to do it. I would keep
it,the reason is that the older vehicles tanks
can rust, and clog up your pump. I have heard of
people having their tanks coated by special shops.

If the tank is coated, I would opt for a spin on filter, in the engine bay.
Good source would be Summit Racing.
