Question Thermo Static Actuator Expcted Life ?

I am contemplating replacing the TA on my 1974 Spider. PO got it running by adjusting the interior screw out to its limit. I suppose I could run it that way, but it is hard to start and runs poorly until warmed up.
If I bite the bullet and buy a rebuilt TA, is it likely to last me at least 5 years ? Car will see limited use. I assume the TA's deteriorate whether the car is exercised or not. I plan to use Wes's rebuild service. What experience have others had with rebuilt TA's ?
Thanks

I bought a replacement from Wes earlier this year. Works great. While setting mine up when waiting (a few times) at idle for the engine to come up to operating temp,. my plugs fouled. Didn't realize that was the cause of the car running badly but though I didn't have the TA gap right. Changed the plugs as a test and all was OK. Just watch for plug fouling if you're doing a lot of idleing.

The TA on my '74 Spider has never been replaced, and neither has the Spica pump... I can't tell you how long a rebuilt TA unit will last, but I would simply get the replacement and not worry about it. It really isn't like these units are always failing, and I would bet that you'll get more than 5 years of good use...

Best regards,
