rust protection before undercoat, carpet

i'm getting ready to do some suspension and interior work, and want to work in preventive rust protection and undercoating.
there's someone locally who can use waxoyl in the crevices, and follow on with a "wax" undercoating from the same company. he says the military uses this new kind of undercoating.
anyone familiar with this?

i may have to do some rust-fixing on the body later when i repaint, and need to consider the effect of the waxoyl when i weld & paint. any opinions?

i'm looking at por-15 for the interior floor before covering with noise-deadener & carpet. is this the right direction?

I've been using a product called Rustkill on my cars shell for many years. It actually kills rust (or so they say ) ... but I have watched it turn slightly rusty metal into this weird purple colour, with a noticable reaction (ie. bubbling and giving of gases, etc.).

This shell has never been outside ... but I have used it on other cars, including an Alfa Sud (but you could have put this whole car in a tin of Waxol or Rustkill and it would still have kept rusting ... ).
