Here attached is a PDF table where I compared some head liner material that I had at hand.
The first pic is of the GTj headliner with typical leather like pattern and the second is from the Sun roofed GTV showing rows of dots. Third pic is the World Upholstery sample and the fourth from a headliner from Alfaholics in 2009, note the bite with only 3 holes.
I do not know if the sun roof material is typical, typical of Canadian imported GTVs or what.
To measure the bites and holes per square inch I cut out a 1 in x 1 in square in some card material and did a random sample on the material at hand.

I don't know how these holes are made but it seems unlikely to me that they are made 4 at a time.
In the GTV sample there seems to be a row left to right with the bite tilted right then a row l to r with the bite tilted left then a repeat of the two rows.
With the sun roof sample it is the same as above if you align the dot rows top to bottom.
I'll try and post photos of the 2 aftermarket materials I have. (posted in #1)
Ciao

A few weeks ago I received an "Italian-sourced" headliner from a Colorado-based supplier (US). The biege colour was darker than any ivory or off-white I'd seen previously. And I'll be returning this unit asap.
In the meantime, can anyone give informed advice re headliner installation procedures for the '74 GTV? The job looks straight-forward given only one batten, but I'd very much appreciate any advice and/or available printed references.
Cheers,
