It ain't for Italian cars, but...
The same crew from Autobooks in Burbank are puttig on an all-British car event, similar to Best Of France & Italy. It's tomorrow, 4/6/08 and at the same place, Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA.
At least two BBers will be going to check out British rust and leaks vs. Italian rust & leaks I'll be there in the AM, along with my daughter and my British car nut buddy.
Shamefull admission: I've had two Jags, and would love an XK 140MC FHC, E-Type FHC or A-M DBS6

I'll be there. Interestingly, I own one British car and two British bikes, none of which are in true operating order. So I'll have to drive or ride Italian tomorrow. Oh well, no lawn parking for me this year, but at least I'll get there AND home. HaHa!

I'll be there by 8AM, and probubaly leave by 10AM. Lotsa honey-do's to do today I'll have a green Jaguar Racing F1 hat on, and my 9-year old daughter in tow. Anybody sees me, come up and say hi!
I had a '67 420 sedan, and a '93 VDP. Also, I had a '70 Mini Cooper Mk3 (rare car, last year of the true Cooper and first year of wind-up windows).
All were the mix of pleasure and fustration that only a British car could be

Ha! BBers caught at British car show
I won't name 'em, but saw three bbers' cars, and spoke with one of 'em
My favorites were a) the unrestored Vincent series C Rapide with Swallow sidecar; b) the TR 250 in BRG; c) the white DB4 (and the owner is a very nice guy).
Would've taken photos, brought camera but left battery at home

Hi there,
We went but it was early afternoon (will post some pics later)
Yes i spotted the Vincent too. Lovely, really lovely. saw the 250 BRG and the White DB4 as well amongst others. i must admit I was a bit (much) with the Jags and the Lotuses (I had quite a few of all those - Jags and Lotuses)
Did you see the XJ6 C ? another car becoming very rare as well as the XJ12 C

I saw the cars, but didn't meet anyone. I drove my '74 Spider (silver). I was bummed out that some Toyota had blocked me from parking next to the other Alfas. Oh well. Nice stuff on display though. My favorite was the white '64 Lotus Elite.

I was there from about a quarter to nine until a little after two. Early in the morning there was a Giulia Super and a GTV parked just to the right of the main entrance. I was about twelve cars down to the left of the entrance. Oh well, pick a Sunday and we can all meet up in Calabassas instead...

Hi again 74Rally200
We arrived I think around 2.30 PM.
This week-end we are going to the AROC outing to the Joshua tree forrest.
But definitely make a meeting very soon in Calabassas. can you tell me where is that coffee shop ? I would like to go look at the place and get familiar with the surroundings.
Looking forward to meet you and plenty of other Alfa owners, BBers and Aroscalers too of course.

Village Coffee Roasters, in Calabasas, is just south of the 101 Fwy at the Valley Circle exit (Valley Circle becomes Mulholland Hwy south of the Fwy). VCR is in the part of the shopping center along Mulholland Hwy, just south of the first driveway. It's sort of hidden behind a small seating area.
And your photo is Shin's white Elite; he's got a few interesting cars, including a Lancia Fulvia Coupe rally car replica. There was a second Lotus Elite there, too--red with a silver roof.

That was myself and Manuel Alfaholic. Saw 1.6 HF's car next to a lovely grey Fulvia- Adan's newest purchase? I shoulda been looking for familiar faces vs. oggling cars, but I also had a bored 9 year-old to keep entertained
The Elites were both great- I slightly preferred the white one. Anybody check out the interior of the Mk X Jag? Just wish my old 420 would have been in that condition

I'd agree about the Elites; the red and silver one was in stunning condition, and 2-tone with silver roof was not uncommon on Elites, but a single color shows the gorgeous lines of the car much better.
(And, yes, that grey Fulvia Coupe is Adan's new 1.2)
