Alfa Spider gathering and ride at Coffee Roast lot, Calabasas, CA?
Hi guys,
I know there have been some rides in the past with a few Alfa enthusiasts. Thought it might be fun to get a couple of Spiders together for a fun, sporty ride in the hills of Malibu. I know that there are a lot of Spiders in the LA area in all kinds of shapes eg. nice and shiny or a little banged up. Still you have to love them.
I did not set a date for this yet. Usually a Sunday morning is good, since there is always something to drool over in the parking lot. Jay Lenno is always around.
Anybody interested?

Hi Wolfman,
I was just talking to my son about the exact same idea ! Yes let's make an Alfa convertible outing. maybe there will be a GTC (a GTV Convertible - so rare) if you need any help just let me know. I do have some free time.

Hi again Wolfman,
I propose to film the entire event and make available (at a very low price) a DVD to who ever wants one. I used to do this when I was with the Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Belgium and when I was President of the Belgian Jaguar Drivers Club as well. Everybody always loved that kind of memories.

Is there anyone with an Alfa convertible that want to do this (very nice) drive and outing ? Or isn't there enough Spiders in our area ?
C'mon let's do it, it will be great fun.

Anyone?
Well guys,
kinda disappointed about the response. Claude, thanks for trying too.
I guess most Spider enthusiast are more into concours d'elegance instead of laying some rubber on the fun, windy roads of Malibu.

Just for the record, I have noticed today that the Spider technical BB has far more readers and answers than any other one on the BB.
Therefore there should be many more Spiders than any other models.
This represents well the Alfa Romeo "share" of models.
But maybe there are no Spiders in our Southern California area. they all must be in cold and snow country, not here !
Am I right ?

Plenty Spiders
Hi Claude,
There are plenty Spiders around, but you might be right. Maybe the people that own them in the LA area do not visit the BB. There is a high concentration of Spider owners in Santa Monica. Either way, I was hoping the gathering would have been a low key, spontanious thing.

You are right, I bought my two Spiders in Sta Monica area.
But when I look at the BB there over 80 000 posts that have been looked for Spiders which over twice more than for any other Alfa models.
Strange !
I also noticed your posting/link on Google. super how did you manage that ?

Hey guys. Haven't been on the BB in a while so I saw that other thread first and responded to it. But hey, I'm always up for Alfas and Coffees, and Calabasas is very close for me. When do we go? If it's any time soon, I might have to be sans-Alfa seeing as I just broke my oil sump clean off on some road construction plates, but I have a lead on the parts I need and should be able to get to it by next week. Otherwise, Ill just ride up, drink coffee and look at your cars.

Howdy,
I haven't been online in forever either, but I'm down to go too. Just pick a nice Sunday morning, and I'm there.
