I still feel that an unattended auto, damaged at a show, by staff of the show, should be covered by the organizers of the show.

exactly right .... now I ask you to recognize that your anger stems from how you feel it should have been handled, not how insurance actually functioned to cover your damage... which it ultimately did.

Mdivasc was treated badly by the event organizers. Let's hope it doesn't cause him to stop sharing his prize with us at future shows.

Still, you go to a car show and leave your car under their protection overnight, their staff damages the car and they take no ownership?
This is not an "act of god" this is negligence on the part of their staff. You would think that they would accept some responsibility.
