Anyone going to this event down in the San Diego area? I just found out I got accepted with the GTA. If you go, please stop by and say hi.

Congratulations

Congratulations Anthony! What is the race class for the GTA, G3 or Trans-Am?

I'll be there, only missed a few of them since the first. A very fun, relaxed event and hey it's on Coronado Island.

The car qualifies for both but I entered it in G3 because the chances of getting in are better than if I were to apply for the T/A group. You going to be there?

I am not going to Coronado this year, but plan to enter the CSRG event at Sears next month. It has been made clear to me by the organizers that no U2L cars will be accepted to run with the TA O2L cars. With TA being the feature at Amelia next year we should lobby to have a U2L race on the west coast at one of the premier races, e.g. Wine Country or Monterey Historics.

Congrats, Anthony. It will be great to see more Alfas in the mix.

The AROCSD will have an Alfa Corral in the car club area; we are usually right behind the main grandstands. Look for our banner. We might have some corral passes available after tomorrow. If you would like one, PM me with your contact info. These corral passes are for preferred parking of Alfas, you still need to purchase admission to the event.

Wish we were going, I have been itching to run the Alfa, but it's the National Runoffs' week and we are heading to Kansas. We will be having fun, but I wish we could do both.

Should be a great race Anthony.

Hope to see you and the other 4 GTA's going at it on Sunday. Should make for an interesting race.

Today was a real special treat for Alfisti, I was in heaven. Seeing and watching race four beautiful and period correct GTA's all lined up together pre-grid and then batteling it out was like a time warp, was just awesome. (Big congrats to Anthony, he must of been having so much fun, I know I was just watching him and the other GTA's race).

Not to mention a SZ that gave the crowd their money's worth after toe to toe laps with a pesky Porsche (darn thing had modified suspension). The most incredible thing for me was to stand next to the actual 1935 Tipo B P3 that Nuvolari won the 1935 German Grand Prix, silencing Mercedes, Auto Union and the third reich in Germany. Then to watch that car go out and race was just incredible!
