Just out of curiosity, do you all think that there will be a strong presense of Alfas at this event for a long time?
We had a great time at the 2005 event, and now have a car that could run there someday. I want to make sure we make it....

Last year, there were only a handful (or less ) of Alfa's in Friday's festival activities. There were not a great number of track cars - but enough .
Watkins Glen street festival and SVRA track event 9/8-9/10

Do the Friday festivities include driving the track, as your pictures showed last year? I'm afraid that I can only make Sat & Sun.
I went on to the Glen website, are there going to be F1 cars from the 60's & 70's running at all?

The track drive is Saturday - you need to register for the "Antique car show" which is an event at the track. It includes special parking and the 2 track laps. I know you say you can't make Friday, but IMO, the town festival coupled with one of the Stone Bridge driver events makes the whole weekend. If I had one day to be there, it would be Friday. There were F1 cars last year but I don't know specifically if they will be there this year. I'll see if I can find out.

Thank you LM, I knew if anyone here would have his finger on the pulse of this event, it would be you. Thanks again.

And for those who have to ask: no, that's not Emmo Fittipaldi on the left in the photo. Also not John Watson. It's Enrique Zuniga. He will be available for autographs following the concours in the village on Friday

Well, my name is Derek Bell, but folks just call me Jim. I'll trade you my picture for a weekend's worth of free draft microbrews at the Seneca Lodge.

Hi Derek,
I remember you there from last year. Didn't take a picture of you though , not really a big fan . But I remember what YOU look like so if you remember, you said this year the beers are on you

LM,
Oh, sure --- I clearly remember ALL my non-fans because there aren't many of them. Don't remember the part about me paying for the beers though. Best find a cool beverage and think about this some more.
