Alfa+ Rallye Race?

Is there any interest in a race, for justice, human rights, democracy, from any point to a given point, perhaps D.C. Cambridge, Toronto, S.F., Jacksonville, Denver....
Any interest, support, ideas?

Not neccesarily a cannonball kinda of thing, but seriously, tonight I listened to Bush, and the pundits, the right and the left, I thought it might be a cathartic bit to propel ourselves and our convictions into the malestrom what is our present state of of affairs. I dont think it's a matter of opinions, or parties or whatever the f@*k that we choose to divide us, it's a point of reality of what counts. When your kid wonders why he/she cant go to college, get insurance, get minumum wage.... because ? Thats the question. The answers seem so easy, so why havent any of these things happened? Obviously the lack of an Alfa Rallye to celebrate the spirit of justice, self respect, humanity and all the that would make this small group (maybe not that small) stand up and say there is no better intelligence than what creates (aluminum blocks) than our own ability to get form here, to a place that's better (and not because the manual(s) said so).

I think that ' saving the world ' should be on the Other Topics thread.
However, your comments expose the problem:
If we just have an event, rally, sit-in, etc. we can solve these 'easy' problems. News flash.....these are NOT problems with an easy or quick fix. As long as people spend their time wishing for a painless solution, the problems will not be fixed and the solutions offered by the dreamers will make the problems worse!
Other than that, it sounds fun!

You're right. Wrong place, stupid idea. My apologies for even suggesting that we solve easy problems by the completely hypocritical act of driving around. I will try to keep the fumes from my smoldering discontent down wind of this forum in future.

one easy fix is to teach them a work ethic and to take responsability for their actions. it is not my fault if they cannot get a job. it is not my fault if they cannot hold a job. I didnt send jobs overseas. and there isnt a whole lot I can do about anything anyway.
