Quote from Anthony: "I hear you know these roads from your "younger" days..."

Yes indeed, I held many a record for these roads (mostly between 3 & 5 AM...
specifically: 14:13 from the 101{Ventura Fwy} to PCH over Malibu Canyon {Los Virgines}... TOP THAT!

Keep in mind that MY "younger" days where when I was 16~17 years old... not to be compared with your present advanced age (24?). I was driving a Giulia Super (which was stock, but for the removal of the air cleaner). By the time I was as OLD AS YOU ARE NOW I had basically retired from REAL racing... (like you have done ???)

I have only re-surfaced as a "vintage racer" (geezer re-tread) some 40 years later... :-)

If I were you, I would keep my fast driving on the TRACK (where we are all relatively competent and going the same direction most of the time {with the help of competent flaggers}) ...unless you feel the need to keep DUCKING me!

QUACK QUACK!!!

Jrclem,

Why are you always trying to out-do or bring down italcarguy? If it weren't for young Alfisti like him and some others on this forum, the marque would lose it's drive. Getting old must suck.

Matt

Matt:
Please note that:"GETTING OLD" beats the cr*p out of the alternative!!!
Trust me, my endless jabs at Italcarguy and his brother are my way of embracing the future of my own passions, and an expression of my VERY HIGH REGARD of their talent behind the wheel and as gentlemen in general ( but his younger brother REALLY rocks!!!).
Italcarguy is MUCH tougher than you give him credit for...
While I call him out for "ducking" me, it is with a wink and a smile. I know (as he clearly does) that when his real-world economics allows he will kick my *** but good... as he should.
PLEASE do not confuse my rough jousting with these whippersnappers as anything less than an absolute expression of my sincere respect and admiration for these kids, and a vote of congratulations to Santo & Anna for having bought-up a world class family!

Keep giving him hell Rick! Its good for him.

I still cant wait to see the two of you on the track at the same time battling it out. I missed the last race you two had and I've seen the video footage, and that my friend was some good stuff. I wont make that mistake again to miss any event with the two of you RACING.

A big #681 (Rimicci) and #33 (Clemente) fan for life.

Matt:
BTW:
Last weekend I cinched the B/Sedan Class Championship for the 2006 VARA Season... Following in the footsteps of Anthony Rimicci, and Bob Wass in the 2004 & 2005 Seasons. That makes "Don Santo" of Santo's Italian Car Service a three-year-in-a-row Championship Race Car Prep Winner! SANTO ROCKS!!!

Understood. I guess it's hard to see the smirks and laughs behind the text. So, are you going to put a plate on that race car per italcarguy's request?

No way...
I'm off to my sister-in-law's for sub-standard thanksgiving dinner and insane-in-laws gathering... {the high costs of growing up...} :-(
You kids should be careful out there, and don't do anything remotely related to what I might have done!
Have a happy AND SAFE Thanksgiving!
I love you guys.

Thanks for the kind words Rick. They mean a lot coming from you, the "old master".

Make sure you take your helmet to your sister-in-laws...sounds like you'll need it there.

Now back to the original topic of this thread, "Italcarguy's Thanksgiving Day Run - Nov. 23 - So Cal".

God that sounds like a lot of fun! Meanwhile... I'm stuck here in Vail with nothing to do but ski and eat turkey. Athough... weather permitting... I may go get some seat time in the kart on the front range one day.?.?

Happy Thanksgiving and ENJOY the Drive!

This time tomorrow, we will driving. We have 10-15 cars for sure. Those of you who replied to me, make sure you are there in time. I am leaving at 8:00am SHARP! I'll probably get there about 7:45. Let's try and park along the row against the street.

I was even thinking of telling my girlfriend that I would take a later flight out tomorrow and meet her at her family's house in New Mexico just so I could go for the drive with Anthony and all the other GTV's. Suprisingly it did not go over well with her..lol. Girlfriend or GTV..girlfriend or GTV..Hmmmm, decisions, decisions..... Hope you guys have a blast!
