Here is my take on this event:
This turned out to be a great show. In many ways it was a lot better than this years national Alfa Convention. As all the cars were parked together we could all meet and socialize around our cars. At the national convention you could be standing next to someone who's car you admired but not even know it as the cars were parked a long way from the convention.
At Italian Car Fest there were many exotics along with the Alfas, Lancias, and Fiats (our Fiat 600 won 1st in the "mixed Italian" class whatever the heck that is).
The Alfa turnout was fantastic. A 1930ish Supercharged Alfa with some serious history was on display. A Callaway TT GTV6, a Montreal, A very hot 3.0 GTV6, and amazing original owner White 1985 GTV6, quite a few nice spiders and two near perfect GTVs. It was really a great time.
I think I talked to about 100 people and I had some great conversations. I can't mention the people for fear of forgetting one! There were just so many. Again, it was a great time with a great group of folks.
The track day was today, I just got back. Everyone had a great time. Ryan from Vick Autosports burned up the track in his Fiat 128. Steve M. went seriously fast in his Alfetta. Nothing was officially timed however I think Steve's car was the fastest non exotic Italian car there. Only one Alfa Spider showed but it was a nice and fast 72' model. My wife drove our GTV6. She started out slow but by the end of the day only the exotics were going significantly faster around the course.
I did have my first automotive failure in a long time. On the back straight the 25 year old relay set quit. Of course this shut the car off instantly. I had another with me so once the car was towed in it was running withing a few minutes, and back out of the track for the next session. I did have to change out the brake fluid once as my wife was getting pretty agressive and boiled the fluid.
No Alfas had any serious issues and all survived the day. We packed up our cooler and drove the supercharged GTV6 home. Wow are we tired!

P.S. I was very dissapointed in one thing. The DFW area has an incredible amount of performance shops. Some of these shop specialize in tuning exotics and claim some pretty impressive numbers. However on track day few showed up. Mvpeurosports brought a hot Ferrari (nicely driven), a 128 from Vicks and my GTV6. Where the heck was everybody!
