Bring Cash for Awards Luncheon at Mezza Luna
It’s once again time for the Annual ARA Summer Rally. We always have a good time and it’s a great and spirited drive for all who participate. This year, we will start in Palo Alto at the Palo Alto Square parking lot at Page Mill Road and El Camino Real. This is an ideal starting point because it is roughly equidistant from both US 101 and I 280 from both north and south. In fact, Page Mill Road, in the guise of Embarcadero, starts at 101, and crosses I 280 on its way up to Skyline Drive. So, the starting point is easy to get to. See your July issue of the “Cams” for Rally details and a map.
At the end of the rally, we will all meet for the Awards Luncheon at the Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant in Princeton-By-The-Sea, north of Half-Moon Bay on California Highway 1. This authentic and superb Italian restaurant has graciously consented to host our luncheon but because of the size of the party, they have instituted a couple of restrictions. The first, and most important, is that there will be no separate checks. Each table of 10 or less will be handed a bill for that table. In order to make this easy, we are requesting that everyone bring enough cash to pay for your meal. If you must use a credit card, then you will have to collect the cash from the rest of your table (unless you are real generous and want to pay for everybody J). The second restriction is that we order from a restricted menu. For your edification, I will list the menu and the prices here. You do NOT have to pre-order, nor do you have to buy the entire 4-course meal. If you just want a salad, then by al means, order just a salad. If you want just pasta, order only the pasta.
