Some great images there - looks like you guys have a lot of fun. Where could I find a list of dates for these events, regardless of who's organising? I'm planning to be in New York at the end of September and might be moving on to California for a few days after that, then back to London by the end of the first week in October. Business research trip so not all fun!!

By the way, I hear a lot of second and third hand stories about Roman Tucker and he seems to be an amazing 105 guru. Has anyone ever tried to tempt him to start contributing to the BB?

Alex.

Roman is in the BB one way or another.......we don't really want him to get distracted from fixing Alfa's!

Anyone know the silver 750 Giulietta Sprint Veloce that appeared in the parking lot? I spoke with the owner early on Saturday shortly after they arrived.

I finally found some pictures of the Mclaren that crashed during the parade:

Their fastest lap times where right with Erik's fastest before his engine broke...at 2:45. Would have been a great 3 car race--two Alfa's and a Cortina! I was just behind Eliseo at 2:51. I have a lot to learn, but Roman built a great race car for me.

One bizarre and almost tragic accident happened during the race car parade into the town of Elkhart on Friday night. I was in line just behind a beautiful orange McLaren Can Am car. We pulled down the back road and turned left onto the main road into town. The McLaren tried to do a burnout, but the car went flying off of the road to the right narrowly missing several spectators along the road. The McLaren went airborn and flipped upside down about 30 feet off of the road in a swamp! I just sat there for a second not quite sure that I just saw what I had just seen. I believe that the driver of the car (who turned out to be the machanic and his son) were not hurt too bad. They could have been killed, but where probably fortunate to land in the swamp. Neither of them was strapped into the car. I never saw the car again the rest of the weekend so I don't know the extent of the damage. Not exactly what you want to do to an 800 HP 40 year old race car worth at least $250K!
