Come see us in Tulsa for ALFA Deco 2006!
Greetings,
We're only a couple of weeks out on ALFA Deco the 2006 National Convention. We have all kinds of great events planned and we'd love to have all of you join us. Please go to www.alfadeco2006.org to register.
There is contact information on the site if you have any questions.
If you've never been to Tulsa you owe it to yourself to come and see some of the architecture.

Trent,
Any ideas where we could have an AlfaBB meet & greet? Being in Oklahoma City, with very little spare time, I havent had an opportunity to try to put something together.
Thursday PM I will be busy helping with tech inspections for the track event and autox. I plan on being at the track all day during that event and at the autox cousre all day for that one.
What do you think about a breakfast meeting for the BBers on Sunday AM, before the concourse? Any idea about where we could have it?
David... AKA Okiealfaaddict

After the Saturday banquet
After the Saturday banquet OK AROC and ICCS' ItalianCarFest will spring for drinks at an informal mixer. We'll have an alfabb sign-in book at the ICF table.
Breakfast Sunday does sound nice as well.
BTW, OK AROC has been doing a great job to present a fabulous gathering.

Hi, Greg- Caravan departing Dallas
Hi, Greg-
You'll be leaving a day or two earlier I. Susan Kast - susank04@sbcglobal.net - is coordinating a nice caravan for those leaving Dallas Friday. In fact, it looks like some Alfa enthusiasts from Houston will be hooking up with us in Big D.
If you are staying through lunch Sunday, let's caravan home.

Breakfast
Hey David,
The concours start at 7:00 and I told Steve that I'd be there at 6:30. I don't know of any place open that early...
Here's a couple of ideas:
Brookside by Day
Blue Dome Diner (formerly Route 66 diner)
Let me ping my brother and see if he knows of a good place. Wish I could join you, I'd be interested to meet everyone in the context of alfabb.

75 Evo, I am driving the 83' GTV6 up there. We are taking two cars because my wife, 3 kids, father, and 2 freinds won't fit in the GTV6.
I can't leave on Friday, my wife is planning to drive the GTV6 at Hallet on Friday. It's her first time on the track in an Alfa so she is really looking forward to it.
Caravaning home sounds like a good idea.

Actually, the Concours judging starts at 9:00 am, with a judges meeting one hour before that. Of course, that means that cars need to be ready to be judged at 9:00, so if you are participating you need to be there well ahead of time. Spectators can show up anytime.
See you all there.

The after the banquet ICF mixer sounds best to me. Lets just plan on making that the "official" AlfaBB meeting place as well. As long as it's OK with the ItalianCarFest folks. I'm hesitant about hijacking ICF's planned event, but looks like it would be very convienient. I think trying to do something Sunday AM may be trying to squeeze too much in. I'll bring some name tags to put our AlfaBB names on.
Sound OK to everyone (especially ICF)?

this is probably a dumb question, but it's ok to just walk around and chat like a car show right? I guess I just dont see an event like that on the site, not very observant I guess.

I don't really know the answer to that. I can't even figure out what the tech sessions will be about.
This is my last post pre convention. I will be there about 7am in the morning. Anybody who sees me, please come up and say hi, I will probably be found near my grey GTV6, which will probably be the only one there with chrome side out exhaust. I am easy to spot 6'2" 200 lbs dark hair very good looking I should have a nametag.

Absolutely!!
Hi again,
We want you to feel at home. There will be plenty of talk at the hotel, at the autocross, any place there are ALFAs!
I know the TBA on the schedule is a bit cheesy but we just don't have any more manpower to put into it. I did the website (hope it looks okay, I'm not a web guy) and my brother did the graphics. We just didn't get the chance to redo the Schedule pdf, sorry...
I think that Wes Ingram is going to speak for the technical session.
I need to sit down and compile a list of some good places to eat. There is some really good food in town.
See you all (y'all) soon.

I'm not 100% positive but I think yes
Thanks for the compliments. It means a lot, I worked my tail off on that site.
I think we'll have four or five people at the registration desk so you can add events or do registration. Apparently a lot of folks will just be showing up and then registering. I want to say that it was like 30% in Seattle!
Remember to look for folks in the red polo shirts if you need help with anything at all. I'm going to put a phone number on the registration desk if anyone needs computer help, that's what I know how to do.
