AROCSD Sunrise Highway run! Come Drive!!
Saturday November 12 9:30am
The San Diego Alfa Club is having a Sunrise Highway run next weekend! It's going to be a beautiful, fun drive!
Details...
Start : Meet at Westfield North County Mall 9:30am - at back of Sears parking lot, under the big sign. From I15 South - exit Via Rancho Parkway, turn left - the mall is right there, coming into the mall, turn left for Sears. From I15 North - exit Via Rancho Parkway, drive straight into the mall, then turn left for Sears.
There are gas stations around the mall, but please have your tank full when you arrive at the meet.
We will head up through Ramona and Julian and wind our way through the mountains and valleys along Sunrise Highway. Lunch will be at Major's Diner in Pine Valley... I've heard this is a very popular car club destination.
Last time we all did a run together (AlfaBB people and SD Club) we did an Idyllwild run, it was a large turnout and everyone had fun! So, come out for this fantastic fall mountain run

Would love to join in again - if only to exhorcise the ghosts from the Idyllwild run where our fuel pump died just before Ramona and we had to be towed home!
We shall see if the old girl is feeling up to it by next weekend. And the car too

Would love to, but I've got tickets for a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine with my 3 year old that Saturday. Though, he may just prefer a ride in the Alfa car if I ask him

OK, got the Spider back so we should be there on Saturday.
One question we're not used to hearing in San Diego though:
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS??

I checked the weather - and it's going to be gorgeous - no rain, sunny and nice. No worries! Come on out!

Gutted :/
We were on the 15 coming towards Esco and saw coolant coming out from under the hood! Decided it was best not to tempt fate and risk another expensive tow home, so we turned around.
