11th Annual San Diego Little Italy Festa
Sunday, October 9, 2005
Once again it is time to bring your cars to show off at the 11th Annual Little Italy Festa. This years headliner is Lina Prima, daughter of famed 1950s entertainer, the legendary Louis Prima, is entertaining audiences throughout the United States by performing her dad’s greatest hits. Her high-energy show features Prima classics, including “That Old Black Magic,” “Jump, Jive and Wail,” “Pennies from Heaven,” and “Sing, Sing, Sing.”
In addition to Chalk La Strada, Stickball, Food, Music, Vendors and Beer & Wine gardens we will have the 4th annual Italian Motorsport Show. So grab your Italian car friends and come join us on India Street from Fir to Grape. You can check in at India & Grape by 9:30 a.m. as the show begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 6:00 p.m. Cars are asked to stay parked until 5:00 p.m.
If you would like to have dinner after the event you may leave your cars parked and enjoy the many restaurants Little Italy has to offer.
Please let me know as soon as possible.

Why not make it a weekend event. Spend Saturday at the Coronado Classic Speed Festival (Historic Car Races) at North Island Naval Air Station. I go to this every year and it's a blast!

Yes. Contact the AROCSD VP, Hillary Griffith. Don't wait too long. I don't know how many passes she has left. Also, the organizers have emphasized that they only want Alfas in the Alfa corral, Porsches in the Porsche corral, etc. So if you get a pass from Hillary, you gotta drive an Alfa 'cause she only has Alfa passes. I can see how that makes sense - guess I won't be driving my pick-me-up.

Yep, in past years there have been lots of random cars parked in the corral taking advantage of the premium parking. Shannon and I are guilty too though, we took her S2000 last year. Though we did park next to the NSX club so we almost sorta fit in.

Tried to go today but after driving around for half an hour and not finding any parking closer than about 10 blocks we gave up and drove on up the freeway to have lunch. It did look like people were having fun.

Er, you had to enter the base to park.....you did enter the base, right? There was plenty of (free) parking, with shuttle buses to and from the pedestrian entrance....
[edit] Ah, just realised you're probably talking about the Little Italy Festa, not the Coronado Speed Festival. Please ignore me.
