Trans-Am tribute at the Peterson November 12

The Peterson is putting on a Tribute the Trans-Am November 12. They have invited many of the drivers and cars from the era. The event features a panel that will discuss How To Cheat in the Trans-Am. If this is anything like the panel at Amelia Island it will be well worth attending. Bud Moore and others had some great tales to tell.

My Ex Horst Kwech 1966 Trans-Am Championship GTA and the Tony A2Z Porsche 911 U-2-7 tribute car will be there as well a full display of significant Over 2 Liter Trans-Am cars. Tony will be attending the event and we have him and Tom McIntyre to thank for lobbying to get our Under 2 Liters cars accepted.

Horst Kwech will be one of the drivers on the panel and we are all thrilled he has agreed to be there.

Roman Tucker is flying out to attend the Peterson event especially the "cheating in Trans-Am panel". Roman has been involved in professional racing on and off for years and is looking forward to hearing the tell all cheating session.

If you liked the original Trans-Am this is a chance to see the drivers and constructors in person. These drivers aren't getting any younger.

How can I contact the Peterson to include my "tribute" copy of the Charlie Thieriot #33, of which I was the Crew Chief? And, BTW, the "Chief bender of the GCRs!

Here is the honored guest list for the Trans-Am Tribute Thursday at the Peterson. The Trans-Am panel discussion is sold out but you can still get tickets for the dinner.

The event was a success for the Peterson. The Panel on Cheating in the Trans-Am was interesting. Here are some photos taken by an Autosport Nostalgia BB member--can't believe I forgot my camera. I asked Tomy Drissi the current Trans-Am champion to pose with Horst the first Trans-Am champion.
