NorCal - All Euro HWY 1 Cruise, Nov 7th.

Now that the tourists have gone home, I figured this would be a perfect time to start an all euro HWY 1 cruise along California's scenic HWY1. This has been cross posted on a bunch of other euro car forums and is really starting to gain interest. I'd LOVE to see some Alfa's there, so I figured I'd better stop in here as well.

What: A scenic cruise down California State Route 1 from Pescadero to Big Sur.

When: Saturday, November 7th starting at ~10:30am (drive starts at ~11:00am)

Who: Any euro car is encouraged to come out; however, if yours is out of commission, feel free to roll in your wife's Camry. Just park it away from the crowd and drive towards the back of the pack for picture taking purposes.

Route & Itinerary: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=...h&z=8

10:30am - Meet at Pescadero beach
11:00am - Depart Pescadero
Stop at Bonny Doon beach in Bonny Doon for photos etc.
Stop in Watsonville for gas/snacks/bathroom.
Stop at Monastery beach in Carmel for photos etc.
ETA 2:00pm - End trip in Big Sur @ the River Inn, optional lunch. Big Sur River Inn - Welcome to our home page/

FRS Radios: Radios, if you have them, should be set to channel 13.3

One day guys! Should be a huge turn out. We've got guys coming from as far as Bakersfield, SLO, and Sacramento from other forums.
Expect to see everything from Smart cars, to MINIs, to Porsches.

There is also an Auto-X event the next day in Marina that some of us will be going to. Hit up NorCalUFO.org for details.

You aught to come out man! I'd love to see any of those cars listed in your sig . There's a group folks from various other forums meeting in Foster City to caravan down to Pescadero.

"For those coming from SF or the Peninsula, some of us will be meeting up in front of McDonald's in Foster City at 9:00 AM. We'll probably head out at 9:15ish."

Only one Alfa, but a great overall turnout! I had a blast!

We'll definitely be doing this again sometime. I'm thinking late spring right before tourist seasons starts back up again. Also, don't forget to checkout the Sofa Kind Euro x-mas BBQ.

Here's the photos my wife and I took.

Japanese cars welcome? If they're outfitted like this, YES!

It's not if the cops show up, it's when. Luckily both the rangers in Pescadero and Carmel were cool.

And there were twice as many outside of the frame...
