IMO a modern 8C is not an Alfa Romeo ... it's a Maserati with different clothes, and I'm still upset that this once proud name has been cr@pped on like this.

I agree about the 8C, but what about the modern-day lesser Alfas such as the 147, 159, etc., they're also based on communal platforms/drive-trains available to all members under the Fiat umbrella - are these not Alfas? I don't have the answer, but I certainly don't feel any affinity to or emotions for these cars, yet. I stood next to an 8C at Concorso this past August, and didn't feel a thing, like it was some Lamborghini that didn't concern me.
Looks like everyone had fun at the show! I'll be sure not to miss it next year.

Yea, I was going to say the same thing. The show is organized by "Under Three Liter Cars", so even the 164's are at the borderline. In recent years, the organizers have allowed cars over 3 liters, but park them in a different area, so that Best of F&I doesn't turn into "Concorso South" with row after row of boring, modern Ferraris. Therefore there was a bit of logic in having the 8C on a part of the field away from the classic (and < 3L) Alfas.
Now, whether we feel the 8C is a "true" Alfa is a whole 'nother discussion. Personally, I dislike the metallic bronze color of that 8C.

Hi folks,
This was a fantastic show! I can't believe I'd never been to it. Here are some shots I took:
Best of France and Italy
Enjoy.

Great images as usual Afshin, and your SS is beautiful! Any plans for it or will you leave it as it is?

Thanks Don!
For the time being, I'm leaving the SS as is and enjoying driving it. Maybe in a couple of years I'll go crazy and do a full resto. I love driving it!

True but the 147, 156 and 166 can be bought with the genuine Alfa Romeo v6 engine and thus IMO are the last Alfa Romeos.
I would be proud to own a v6 166.

All in all, a great show. I counted 10 Giulia Sedans in attendance, 9 on the grass, 1 on the street.
And, IMO
1. Best Sedan there (mine of course)
2. The Best 2 Sedans there
3. And a vary close third

I'm really starting to like the SZ now! Too bad they only cost $250,000 MORE than my allotted budget. But look at that cute, round butt! Sorry, SS, you've got no butt to speak of.
Great shots, Kai.
