Junior Z:
I have a Jr. Z 1600 in the same color. Great videos, you seem from the vids to be a pretty fast driver, & car seems fast as well. Several shots of you braking late & reeling people in, passing them out of corners because of higher exit speed, etc.. What do you have done to the car in terms of suspension & engine modifications? What part of Europe are you in? Fun to see another Blue one on the track. Bruce

Great videos!

Excellent camera and viewing angle. What kind of camera are you using?
Keep both hands on the steering wheel more often! Use the brakes to stop the car, not the gearbox!

I use little Samsung Digital Cam to take videos... fixed on the roll cage.
It's very hard for me to double clucth, because of I'm too high...
Alfa Romeo are made for italiens (not very tall)...
My driving position isn't perfect, then when I use The pedal brake, Accelerator pedal is about 4 cm up of my right foot...
In the Junior Z 1600, there is a suspended Pedaller...
I prefer floor pedaller...
About Keeping both hands on the steering wheel, I try to do my best but the car is soo easy to drive, then I forget to put right hand on the steering wheel... Then I need time to pass second gear

Really?!
My GTV has suspended pedals and I made a special throttle pedal to keep the brake and throttle pedals leveled and double clutch is a piece of cake.
On my Junior I have floor hinged pedals and I still can't double clutch! I can't get the hang of it! I need a larger foot...
Well, the car has only returned to the street 2 months ago... It isn't enough time of practice...

Not to throw a wet blanket on the joy you can have with that car, but you should make a little investment in yourself.
How about a full face helmet to protect against a sudden stop into that beautiful steering wheel (you'll be surprised how far your body can stretch in the best of harnesses). Maybe real (nomex) gloves and, if your not going to wear a nomex suit, at least wear long sleeve natural fiber shirt and/or jacket (skin is not the most desirable thing to have between you and fire or hot oil and they will only have to peel the polyester off - damn ugly).

I have downloaded the first. It's the best video anyone has posted here in a long time. I am downloading the rest right now. The car looks like it's performing very well and it sounds great!
Thanks a lot for sharing.

Ok ok,
I don't have the chance to know you, but in readind your post, I see that security is very important for you...for me too.
About driving with a combinaison (I 've got one), you are right...
About my helmet, you are right...
I'll go again on track in Juilly... I'll take some videos, I'll wear a combinaison, but for my helmet...
It's difficult some time to keep reason, when you do something with passion...
I 've a big chance to drive this car on fabulous track Like SPA Francorchamps, Magny Cours, Le mas du Clos...
To continue to have fun, I've to protect me and the car...
PS: Sorry for my broken english...

Please explain the concept. You still blip the throttle "heel and toe" style, but with an extra "pump" of the clutch???
I've read the explanations a number of times, but I haven't seen anyone do it so it's hard to picture.

You have to blip the throttle between the gear change. It's called double clutch because the bliping is done in neutral with clutch disengaged.
Example:
shifting from 3rd to 2nd:
- press clucth pedal;
- shift 3rd to neutral;
- release clutch pedal;
- blip throttle;
- press clutch pedal;
- engage 2nd;
- release clutch pedal.
I still have difficulty understanding what goes on during this procedure. What I understand is that it helps the shyncro rings get alingned and, therefore, helps the engagement of the gear.
On the practical side it works very well!
