Thunderhill track event
There are a few Thunderhill track events which will be held in the months of October and November. Let me know if anyone here is interested in participating.

I am not quite sure, but possible events is:
Hooked On Driving
Saturday, November 15 2008
Speedventures
Saturday, September 27 2008
Trackmasters
Friday, October 3 2008
I'm leaning more towards the HOD event since it is a Saturday. But it's more expensive. Maybe I'll just do an autrocross next month and the HOD event in November.

75Evo - I think I've convinced GP to come with us to Thunderhill on Nov 15.
That makes:
1. 75Evo (Milano)
2. verdegrrl (Milano)
3. Nizam (Milano)
4. GP (GTV6)
5.
6.
7.

I'm registered for group C. I'm most likely driving up on Friday night.

I think the autox is on the 5th. Start a new thread so it gets more publicity.

I think there are still slots open guys. Here's your chance to come out and do a track event close to home.
Those of you who just need some seat time in a non-competitive event (no timing gear), this is the event to attend.
Sign up is online, too: ..:: Hooked On Driving ::..
I'll be there both Saturday and Sunday.

Well it was a great event overall, except for the fact that a 997 lost its a splitter, went under another 997 and it flew and crack my windshield. I thought that was lame. However I was glad that no one was hurt.
Nizam and I were in my Milano and we had a few good laps chasing a 135i. It wasn't as fast as I expected it to be on the straights to my surprise. It was faster though, not saying it's slow by any means. In the turns it wasn't as fast as I had better tires so I was on its tail all the time. If my car had a GTA 24V in it, I wouldn't have any problem matching or beating it on the straights. But the old 12V just didn't have enough grunt.
My Milano was about as quick as an M Coupe on the front straight. The M coupe was quicker than the older M3 with the 3.0. It seems to have more torque in the lower rev range. Had no problems with supercharged mini Cooper S however, didn't really need to wait for a point by to get by them.
Then I took a ride in Nizam's360CS, what an amazing car. Wide and low, it didn't even need to have super tires to have phenomenal grip. I guess if you want to go fast, you could always get a 996 GT3 for 1/3 of the price of the CS and turn in times a hair slower, but it won't be a 360CS that's for sure!!! The sound was superb, but I prefer that of the F355. The F355 = F1 quality sound.
Anyway, I hope to go to Laguna Seca next with Hooked on Driving, just have to find some time to do it.
