Rev limiter?

I have fitted an MSD box with a soft cut rev limiter. I would rather use this than the factory limiter.
How can I remove the rev limiter from a Bosch distributor?

Nice work, I will be installing and MSD6AL soonish, how does it go? I think the carburettored cars can really benefit from it, as they run rich high in the revs (ever looked in the mirror when accelerating hard? (Do it, its sad to see that much unburnt fuel go out the pipe!). My plan is to relocate the battery to the boot and put the MSD where the battery sits..make it look tidy.

As for the rev limiter you can just remove it from the rotor button cant you? I dont seem to have one....

On the 89 1.7 QV, the Bosch distributors have two types of rotor, one with a built in limiter, one without. Simple to pull off the distributor cap, then the rotor just pulls off. and you can pop the replacement on.

The "hard" cut of the limited rotor is not nice at all !! Nice move to the soft cut limiter :-)

Cheers
