Alfasud distributor rotors

Hi
A time ago I buy 2 alfasud sprint veloce to restore, I can't use any yet, but I noticed that the have the same distributor but different rotor arms, I think the big (1) is a limiting rotor, what is the best to use?

Thanks very much anny help

I have normally run the rotor without the limiter, I found that when the limiter cuts, it is a TOTAL cut, the motor just cuts out completely till the revs decline a bit, its not the "soft" cut/misfire you get on a more modern rev limiter.

If you might at some stage lend the car to someone without as much respect for it as you, then the limited one might not be a bad idea....!

The rev-limiting rotor cuts in alot harder on your wallet too!

I priced both some time ago at supercheap auto here in Australia.

The rev-limiting type was $140

The normal type was $10

You're right about the price differential. I found it was cheaper to get one through the local Alfa dealer than Supercheap. The other benefit is that they will get you the right one as well.
I tried the std rotor in my Alfa and it didn't last , so put the rev limiting one in and it's going well. I also changed the coil to a Jacobs which seems to be better than the original Ducellier.
