Wheel Studs/Bolts

hi there!

Im looking to fit some second hand Australian made 13x6 'performance' wheels to my 33 wagon. I have got the wheels and theyre all straight and in good physical condition despite having very poor paint but thats ok.

The task which is proving to be alot harder to sort out is the need for bolts that will fit the wheel itslef.

If the stud holes are to be machined and inserts fitted this will allow the factory alfa wheel studs to be used to center the wheel. For this i have been quoted at $40 per wheel by Ozwheel Australia.

The other option i have is to aquire some suitable new or secondhand bolts that will fit my 33 hubs. This photo shows the difference between a standard factory alfa bolt (right) and what i need (left).

Do you know who makes custom bolts or sells alfa 33 bolts in the sydney area like the lefthand one above? Or better yet do you have some (min 12 as i have 4 good ones) which may be suitable that are for sale?

You can check for parts from old Fiat models in a scrap yard. I have the size that you want from a Yugo (which is the same as a Fiat Uno) and i use them when i put my 13'' rims when i want to maintain my normal rims.

You can try and see..

just to remind you remember that not a lot of cars came out with hubs having a pcd 98, for example in malta only fiat and alfa do, others are pcd 100, so if the alloys are pcd 100 you should check for adjustable bolts.
don't know if this could help but i thought i should mention it.

it is most possible to find this in a FIAT because it was very common to use extensions in order to put wider tires so the had to put also longer bolts...

Alrighty..

I contacted The Tyre Group about the right studs, he said that he would have a look in the wharehouse for me and get back to me, which he did and as the system said he had the right studs exactly to what im needing....problem solved!

greku,
All alfa 33, sud, 4 stud alfetta's and 75's/milano's share the same painful stud pattern of 4x98...in Australia at least

Have you tried Milano Spare in Melbourne?

last time i was there i saw a big tub full of bolts/nuts so they might have what you're after.
