S1 33 Check Control question
The Check Control coolant level sensor erroneously indicates the coolant level is low. Two possibilities exist, either the sensor has failed or the check control unit has failed. My money is on the sensor.
Can anyone advise on a testing technique or a way to bypass the signal or if this is a common problem and the solution. If the sensor is disconnected, the light stays on. If the connection is shorted the light also stays on. The wiring diagram indicates the sensor is just a switch directing an earth to the Check Control itself.
Appreciate any advice.
