Good Adelaide Body Repairer Needed!!
Im looking for a GOOD crash shop that will fix up my 33 since it was reversed into a week ago. I have met a great bloke familiar with Alfa's and who does really nice work, but he doesnt fix cars using insurance claims as he finds he gets rooted around (personally Id be the same if I were him) and the other party isn't interested in forking out $1500 in repairs (despite the non insurance quote being $1500 cheaper!!!!!!!!!)
I have had some quotes from a couple of repairers that do deal with insurance claims and I must say I am less than impressed with their attitude towards people like me who care for their cars a great deal. Their attitude is how fast and cheaply can they punch them out and back on the road to maximise their profits, which form a business perspective makes sense.
All I want is a decent repairer that isn't going to pump my damaged panels full of bog and get it out the door without giving it respect, Im just after some care! I do ALL my own body repairs and know what a good repair is!
Can anyone recommend a good quality crash repairer that deals with insurance claims in the Adelaide (Australia that is) metropolitan area?
Thanks in advance.
Josh. (really wishing I didnt have to go through this bollocks!!)

Will look into them, not too far from me either. Keep 'em coming! Anyone else who has had good repairs done to their beloved Alfa, let me know!

Australian Crash repairers did a bit of work on my Sud. They did an excellent job, although they took ages and cost heaps. They were recommended to me as they apparently used to be the official Alfa Romeo crash repairer in S.A.
Good luck!

I had a very good experience around 2 years ago with Edwardstown Body Repairs (factory approved Porsche repairers). 21 Bennet Avenue, Edwardstown. Lots of work done on newer type cars, but also full resprays for restorations of older cars too.

Hey boys hope that bonnet is sweet, but there is two i would be using;
- Classic Line cash Repairs 8365 2633
And my first choice would be smart road crash repairs up at TTP, they fixed my brother in laws evo 3 and these are the kinda guys that will do that bit extra which is what you want.

Yeah, hes a work colleague, which is good. Not like it happened while I was at the shops and came back and its smashed up and no one around, that would be worse. Its going to be put through on his insurance, which does make me worried as it will go to the place with the cheapest quote, and I dont want a below average rushed repair job done to the car, it deserves respect, its a darn good car! So i think i'll be arguing black and blue who it goes to for the repairs and if possible a cash settlement would be good! Lets see what happens.
I visited Edwardstown crash (for those who live locally) and I was impressed by their workshop and their work. No less than a Testarossa on the chassis rack and a Countach in for a restoration among other everyday cars...I think i found my repairer...but somehow I dont think the insurance company will agree I'll keep u all posted!
Cheers,
Josh

Dropped the car off at 9am this morning. Getting all the panels but the roof and a pillars re-done while its there. Finally get those supermarket carpark dings and scrapes out of the paintwork!! Thought I may aswell have it looked at since they have t mix the paint up anyways.
Should take 3 to 4 weeks, I'll take some pictures along the way when I go visit from time to time.

oh if only I knew! I spent a long time looking around at repairers and found Edwardstown Custom Body repairs. I have heard only good things about them so I hope everything will be fine. They do all kinds of European cars and are a factory approved Porsche repairer, whatever that means I was quite impressed with their workshop too and the people really listen to what you have to say.

prices weren't too bad, pretty standard prices I think. $250 for a door, bumper 1/4 panel, front guards etc, bonnet was $300 inside and out (less as I stripped the paint off the outside) and various other touch ups like door jambs and around the inside of the boot opening etc
Repair work from the impact (main reason why it went to repairer) is about $2500 including parts and pulling rear 1/4 panel back into place etc
Which crash shop do you work?
Josh.
