There is no such thing as an Alfa 33 1.7ie Coupe. Why would you fit LPG to such small and economical engine anyway? A V8 I can understand but not an Alfa!

Red face

There does appear to be a 1.7iE. Looks like Stargas has a website. You may wish to contact the manufacturer for some help.

Gas is about half the price of Petrol in Australia. But I still wouldn't do it. I have never heard of StarGas it will be an aftermarket or dealer fitted item. So you will have to take it to a LPG gas specialist to get it repaired as there are no manual supplements online for this kind of thing as far as I know. I also cannot understand your original question. So I don't know what the problem is.

JINXY: I understand your problem to be that you have fitted a LPG system, but now have no heat in the cabin through the heater ? Is this correct ?

If so, I'd guess that the LPG converter is incorrectly connected to your engine's cooling system.

The converter needs a supply of hot engine coolant to stop it from freezing. This is normally achieved by re-routing the hoses for the heater. However if you do it incorrectly the converter removes all the heat from the coolant before it goes through the heater so you get no heat in the cabin.

I've attached a couple of VERY BAD diagrams of an Alfasud cooling system showing roughly how I guess your converter is connected (LPG Bad) and how it should be (LPG Good).
