Windscreen replacement...

Hi all.

I have just been offered a new windscreen for my 'Sud, this is the sellers description:

your series one car should have the clear glass screen, glued in, with the wide chrome trim held on by clips.

later series ones had clear glass screen, with a rubber mould , with narrow chrome trim

the green screen you are being offered is for a seris 2, (which was fitted with a rubber mould with no chrome)

i dont think the screen size ever changed, only the tint colour and method/style of fitting

The seller now says that there isn't trim with the window, which corresponds nicely with the information you gave. Could you tell me how wide "wide" is?

i dont have any early series 1 trim left to measure ,but it is the flat type thats held on with clips, and from memory is about 5mm wider than the later series 1 "T" shaped 15.5mm wide type held in with the rubber mould.

euro sedan specs may be different
