HI all, searched through the sprint section and came accross this discusion which hopefully is relative to my question
Earlier this year i aquired a sprint special which according to the previous owner had its engine changed to a 1.7 from the original 1.5 . At first i wasnt sure but after reading a previous forum I checked the engine numberand it was AR30550 0003868 which relates to the 1.7 engine as anything begining with ar30550 is a 1.7
The reason for my initial doubt was the fact that the carbs on the car are dellortos and according to the previos thread on this discussion 1.7s came with webbers
Could any one shed some light on this do you think the engine has been changed but the original carbs were put on
if this helps the number on the trumpets read 50LEF 103438 omc
Also the cam covers are the same as a 1.5 sprints
