The weather has taken a turn for the worse the last week or so, but should be clearing up..!

Heh, now you mention it, my cousin and I are planning a trip to England and are leaving next week! We'll be travelling through the Netherlands and France, to end up in Lymn near Manchester. Going to be a great (if slow) trip...

That orange looks awesome, truly a sweet 70s colour

as far as extra chrome on the orange sud , i see a protector strip, wheel dressings, and horisontal chrome bars in the heart

dash top and door trims are the nicest and hardest things on a seris 1 sud

Never seen that blue interior trim before!

It looks like an early 80's japanese car, trimmed like that.

Please, be nice! The picture below is of my own car, after I removed the seat covers...

It fits the light yellow exterior damn well.

EDIT: Hehe Enri, you came first!

I say it again, TIME WARP!! Oelholm, that is amazing, looks like that car just got driven off the production line!! Mint interior just blew me away, if only all previous owners used seat covers. If you leave the seat covers off, use a blanket that covers the parcel shelf and the top of the rear seats, I find they fade there first.

unfortunately, one of the few items in the 'Sud that isn't original is the parcel shelf

It has been replaced by a S3 (I think) item that is grey instead of the original black.

That, and chrome window surroundings are pretty much what needs to be done. And in time, I would love to remove some of the more fishy electric items that has been added (tram bell, anyone? lights for the ashtrays???) for a cleaner look.

I have a 1985 Quattro Monte Carlo which I have owned for most of it's life. It's been a daily driver all that time so is not as pristine as some of the beautifully maintained and restored examples seen in this thread.

It had a full mechanical, suspension and steering overhaul by John French about 10 years ago and was in storage for a couple of years while I was overseas. I'm driving it every day now but have a niggle in that it only idles on 3 cylinders until it warms up.

The engine was endowed with extra go after the rebuild and the suspension was refreshed with yellow Koni's. The Monte Carlo suspension is lowered and equipped with a sway bar from the factory, so it handles particularly well.

It is about as original as you will ever see but the body is showing signs of age with rust in the usual places and a few dings and scrapes. I may get it resprayed and tidied up at some point. I'll get some pics together when I get a chance.

Exclamation NSW ALFA Concourse Sunday 29 July

Hello All,

For those of you in NSW or willing to drive over for the very worthwhile cause of viewing many lovelly ALFA's, remember this Sunday, 29 July is the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Concourse. (check out the AROCA website for details).

Apparently there were no Suds or 33's on display last year. very sad. I am going to put mine in the "show and shine" category and know a few others are going to do the same. I think you do need to be a club member to actually put it on display, but if you are not come anyway. It is a good way for us local BB guys to meet up and there are always lots of inspiring cars, food stalls etc. Mine is a red 1980 (series one) sprint. Say hello if you see me. I have not bitten anyone for years.

Hope to see some of you there.

regards

paolo

Hello Paolobuchberger,

Yes, I hope to get to the Alfa Concours next Sunday with my blue Series 1 mongrel if I can get the clutch working. The car is on conditional rego these days and hasn't been used for a couple of months. I went to take it out last Sunday and after warming it up, went to select reverse - the clutch pedal plunged to the floor. Suspect a faulty or dried out master cylinder seal, and hope to have a look tomorrow.

If I can't get the Sud there, I've the choice of my 156 or my son's 33 Quattro. If you look carefully, you may find my handle/rego plate!

Smile Looking for Alfa Sprint

Hi all,
I'm new although not in reference to Alfasud Sprint's. My mother had a 1980 1.5 from and it was with our family until only recently and sadly missed. I would like to find one for myself so does anyone know where to look for a late model Sprint with A/C (if possible) in good condition.
Thanks for any help is much appreciated.
Cheers, Mark

They are out there, but very very rare! I suggest you just try and find a sprint in good condition, any year, any model!
