exhaust probs
Just wondering if anyone could answer my query relating to differences in exhausts, for carb/injection cars. I have a lovely 1994 1.7ie 8v, in dire need of exhaust replacement. I have patched it up 'Blue Peter' style on numerous occasions, trying to delay the inevitable. I need to do it as cheaply as poss, searched the net and found a cat converter suitable for alfas, 35.00 and a back box (description states its for carb models of same year). Can I use these parts and does the Lambada sensor plug into the front pipes or the cat on my exhaust, as the cat converter is not suitable for those models on which the sensor plugs into the cat. By the time I'd finished work, it was too cold & dark to be getting under the car to see. Sorry if I appear to be a thickie, but the only other exhaust I replaced was a mark2 golf, straightforward and easy. Thanks. Mandy
