I want to start by saying sorry if this isnt meant to go here.

Minimal rust only inside door on step and small patch on edge or rear window. No rust around sunroof. Gearbox great except 2nd gear crunch under hard shifting.

Dont sell it!! $1000 is giving it away!! More than likely it will end up in a wrecking yard, it looks like its in decent condition compared to many. U-Pull it have a couple of 1.7's right now and the one I saw yeasterday was so full of rust it looked like it was used as a submarine!! Yours is great, an engine swap would be do-able, but condition would be unknown. A full rebuild would be the go, and could be cheaper than what you might think and will last many years if you take care of it. There aren't many series 2 1.7's around any more, and it would be sad to see this one go. IMO the best of the series 2's! If you're interested in the rebuild direction, PM me and I can put you on to someone.
