old alfasud

Hi to all!
I'm a new user, I owned two Alfa in the past (a 75 (Milano) 2000TS and a
146). I'm a fan of the boxer engine and I'd like to by a 33 next year.
I'm posting this message to show you what I found in my uncle country house:
an old Alfasud (3 doors 1300 cc). Unfortunately the car is in bad conditions,
stopped since two years ago and my uncle said me it had a broken engine,
but every other part was good. The car is complete but is not possile to put
it on the road again. It could be a good source of spares!
Take a look to its photo too!

I'm still waiting for my first barn find... unfortunaltely no close relatives live in old country houses anymore....

Ontopic again: This car does not look to bad from this photo. Aside from the engine, what is wrong with it?

You can suggest to some of your relatives to move to the country!
I suppose there is nothing wrong apart the engine and the fact it was used as a van in the last times of its life. It may look strange but it has no rust!

An rust free Alfasud certainly asks to be kept alive.

New engine and interior, some bodywork (looks like a dent near the broken rear light).... few days work and a rare car back on the road... I know what I would do if a had such a barn find.....

Awesome! IMO, definitely worth some hard work to put it back on the road, but I do say so with a slight element of bias!

I was on a run down to Dunedin a few months ago with the Datsun Owners Club (don't ask!) and we went to this beat up old shed, too check out some, well, Datsun's. And I was pleasantly surprised to find a very tidy Series 1 Sud Ti languishing beneath some heavy tarps and so on.... was very tempted to make an offer!
