Is it just my bad luck

Is it just my bad luck,
Or do all mirrors on alfasuds end up looking at the sky or ground?

I have a 1982 1.5 ti alfasud (single carb) which i rolled.(Restoring)
I also have a 1983 1.5 ti cloverleaf (full of rust) brought for 500 using for engine swap. Ive put extra bracing in the door to stop it rattling. and on both of these cars the mirrors just wont stay still!

I dont know if they are the standard mirrors.
so my question is has anyone had the same problem and if so how do i fix it?

from memory, you need to remove the mirror from the door, then if you turn it upside down & look at the base you should see either a pair of screws holding a metal plate, or a big nut (no, not the reflection in the mirror :P). Tighten as required, but not too much or it'll NEVER move
