well brakes are ok for twice hard braking, but in a narrow road full of turs come faddig to much easy, front disc are 9,4 inches (239 mm) diameter and rear 8 inches (203 mm) diameter drums are not enough braking performance for a sucessive fast brakes fron 80 to 20or 30 miles an hour.
you should try

Thanks , So Alfetta and GTV6 have the same dimension in front as Sprint? Because as i can see you didnt have to make any mods to fit..

Hi Greek
The splitter is only sitting in place - but it does look to be a very good fit so far....

A bit more progress as I have been working on the 164 petrol tank to use it for the 6C. I realised that it actually was a top and bottom welded together - so I am cutting the end off and having it re plastic welded so that it will fit low and back where the boxer engine was. This means that I retain the fuel system of the 164 complete. I will lose some tank capacity but I won't be going on long trips!!

Welcome to my world I have the exact same model, a 1990 33 1.7 16v non-cat, and itīs really a toy for a big child! It's so nervous and loud (mine have a complete exhaust system from Remus, so it's extra loud ).
My brakes are a little bit better (mine is the QV version, ABS and vent discs at the front, and solid discs at the back, not drums). But still it is not sufficient... A friend of mine put the callipers from a Porsche 911 993 on his 33 16v! Now it stops just fine

TFLG: Do you have any more information about that brake conversion using Porsche Calipers?? I'd be very interested to know more, ie mounting brackets etc. We all suffer from the dreaded brake fade, just some more than others...

I'm looking for the details, because now I'm not entirely sure, but I think the calipers are from a Porsche 993 or a 944 Turbo, the discs are from a Fiat Coupe Turbo, and the calipers mountings had to be made for the car...
But I'm going to try to find out for sure. I can't find pictures of the process, but I know I've seen them somewhere...
Nice, isn't it?
