Hi,
wow, lucky you for finding a late Giardinetta.
It's very hard to come up with a price for these cars.
I was looking for about three years to find a Giardinetta and it could not be
red ( my least favorite color). A little over a year ago, I found one in Northern Italy in "bruno cilento", weird "orangy brown".
It's undergoing a total restoration in Germany, new front fenders, new rocker
panels, rear quarters were saved, complete paintjob in the original color,
interior color will be changed from "superugly tan" to blue. Outside it will
be completely stock, but there will be a 1.7 liter from a 33 under the hood.
I would say a moderatly rusted one which can be saved is worth
US $ 3.000.-- - 4.000.-- and a really good one in almost unrusted condition
$ 8.000.--

Email me some pictures about your find.
Good luck and best regards
Hans

Alfasud Sprint Parts Sourcing
Finally an update on my quest for Alfasud parts ~
As recommended, I contacted Turin Imports in Adelaide, South Aussie. The fellow who happened to answer the phone that day was Ian Slape -- a fine chap who has been extremely helpful.
My first (of two) packages of 'Sud parts arrived yesterday in perfect condition. The engine and tranny will be going together later in the week -- it looks like I will have an 'Sud Sprint to take to our US National Alfa Convention in Seattle at the end of July.
Turin Imports has earned my respect as an honest business, and will continue to be my first choice for hard-to-source (in the US) Alfa parts. What kind of world to we live in where Italian-made parts go to Australia only to be sold to the States? Che meraviglia!
I owe a big "thank you" to those of you who recommended Turin Imports last month.
On the other hand, I still can't understand why Phill Snelling at Justsuds completely ignored my phone calls and emails -- I just spent over US$1,000 on parts with Turin Imports -- business he could have had...
Cheers!

I gave up on Justsuds eventually after spending a reasonable amount of late nights trying to call from Australia to secure some more obscure parts. Even asked a friend in London to call him a couple of times at different times of the day on his office number and mobile and no answer.
Turin Imports have been excellent for all the mechanical service parts - I've ordered several times and often the parts will arrive the following morning. I've sent loads of enquiries to Ian via email and gotten quick and friendly replies. Can't recommend highly enough, even though I probably should recommend local companies in Melbourne!
cheers,
Evan.

A good Alfasud Giardinetta in Italy is worth something between 500 & 1250 euros. The problem is to find one because they are rare.
European car dealers are asking crazy prices for them (up to 6.500 euros). It is better to wait/search and buy one direct from a local Italian yourself, saves you lot of money !
About the right hand drive Giardinetta, that must be one that has been produced in the Alfa Romeo factory in South Africa (for real). A few where later privately imported to the U.K. 'normal' right hand drive Giardinetta's still can be found in South Africa (Also a bit difficult), but the closed panel version that was also made there is said to be very rare.
Kind regards,
Rody

Hi there,
If anyone is interested I have just bought a very large amount of alfasud and alfetta spares....all NOS,most alfaricambi, most still unopened. There's about a large lorry loads worth. It's all the old City motors stock from Singapore, which was sold to the official Alfa distributor here in Jakarta in the early eighties.I haven't had time to sort it yet,as it just arrived yesterday, but there seems to be most parts....eg for alfasud:borgo piston sets 80mm ,hastings piston rings 80mm,Borgo piston rings,Ti piston sets(ac-cromato),new grills, rear lights(complete and lenses),dist caps, leads, hubcaps, engine bearings etc....
I'm a british expat(105GTJ,1750 ally GTV,alfetta sedan owner) and member of AROCIndonesia.I've been on the gtv forum here for several years.
Let me know what you need and I'll see if I have it!I'm interested in selling everything alfasud and alfetta,as there is more than enough to keep my cars in parts for a few years to come.
Regards,
Fletch.

Thanks to those who sent PMs,as the parts have just arrived and are still in boxes, and there is just so much of the stuff,it's going to take a few days before I can post a list. There's pretty much everything for series 1(maybe 2)aswell as some ti bits, but sorry,no bodypanels except some inner panel stuff.Nothing obviously autodelta either. As I only really know 105s,I'll post some pics.I'll let you know as soon as I can.
Cheers,
Fletch.
