Project update !!

I tried to update my original post but have found that It was probably lost when the site fell over last year...

Finally finished the interior & electrics...it's been a bit of a struggle because the car has been living elsewhere for quite some time but now it's home I'm managing to get all sorts of bits done...The Sud has been put on a pretty radical weight loss program with everything which isn't welded in up for removal...I even managed to remove the heater (which wasn't even connected !!!) which saved a couple of kilos...all up I've managed to remove 75-80 kilos of stuff that the P/O was carting around the track when he was racing the car (and he was competitive !) Now there's nothing but paint, seat, belts and a fire extinguisher in the car..

...just need to confirm the design of the cage over the next couple of weeks...

I'll post some pix when I find the digital...

Have you done the `Swiss Cheese' mods yet? I know that's popular in Jap ricer...erm racers to cut weight, by using a holesaw to drill holes in the sheetmetal in the bootlids, doors, etc.

Saves a few more kg's

If you lighten doors in NZ circuit racing you MUST have side bars in your cage ... but you will probably have side protection/strengthening bars anyway.

Sorry gents...

been looking for days...my other half tells me she left the camera in Surfers when she went to visit her sister ..

Here's the initial thought on the cage, but I may still go forwards to the suspension mounts...
