Oh yeah, sorry. Been a bit busy. Well lets see, I have owned her since 2003. The car is a Giulia Sprint Gt made in September 1965. She was red, but has been resprayed Silver. Chassis numberwise it is only 4 cars younger than Derek's old sprint gt.
The car is very original with an amazingly intact interior, the only item missing is the Ash tray console. I have all the boot mats which are perfect. The seats are in perfect order although I suspect one has been recovered. Door cards are the best I have ever seen on a 105 ( I wish my 1750's were as good). The dash is ok and all gauges are intact and working. Steering wheels in perfect and has no crazing or damage. All glass is present and intact.
The car started on third attempt when I took delivery of her and having a cable clutch it still drives. Obviously the brakes don't but are the original Dunlops, this car has not been converted to later ATEs.
This car has been fitted with a Giulia Sprint GT Veloce grill at some point which is not unusual given that the Sprint GT grill is so fragile. You could leave it on or covert it as there are now repros being made now.
On the down side the car has been stored at some point outdoors and does have considerable rust in the rear sections. It is in all the usual spots, sills, door bottoms (what GT doesn't) one headlight surround, small bit in the bonnet and of course the floors have seen better days.
Derek and I have have discussed my car in much detail and have decided that you could go three ways with her.
1 as a breaker. Which in some ways would be a tragedy seeing that she is all there it would be a shame to destroy what is probably one of the oldest surviving Sprint GTs in this country.
2 If you have a good Sprint body that you have no bits for. Virtually everything you need is right here on this car and there are still plenty of good panels that could be used to produce one car from too.
3. Nothing is impossible restoration wise when restoring one of these cars and this machine is in way better condition that a lot of Europe/North American based cars that are deemed restorable. Take into consideration that the Sprint GT is a highly desirable model and that you often see lesser 105s ( i.e 1300 Juniors) getting the full work over from way worse condition.
I have an idea in my mind what I want I believe this car is worth , but I will only discuss price with interested parties via a PM. Remember guys you don't come across Sprint GTs every day.

Phil,
Where did you hear about Sprint GT grilles being reproduced?!
Godd luck with the sale, it looks like a very straight car and you ought to achieve a good price for it. You're right, it really does look too nice to part out.
Alex.

Thanks Alex, she is a good car. I thought I heard that Richard at ClassicAlfa was thinking about making them, I may be wrong. Perhaps I imagined it, check with him anyway.
Thanks,
Phil

I was interested until you mentioned Jnrs being "lesser" 105s, then I turned off...
Nah, just joshin' ya. If I didn't have my hands full I reckon this would be a fascinating project. Good luck with the sale, hope it goes to a BBer but either way to a good home, Phil.

Hey gang I am back on the BB. Been a bit busy, got married having a baby etc etc . Oh and I just bought a Mazda3 SP23 Dam that is one hell of a car. Thought seriously about a 147 Monza, but all the reliability stories I hear about the 147 I figured why chance it. The SP23 is an awesome machine mine is a new one fitted with all the bells and whistles but I bought her from the dealers for a really great knockdown price. This car is the only thing I have driven that comes close to the excitement of driving my 1750 Photos to come.
Anyway I think the time has come for me to sell one of my cars. So again I am interested in selling my Giulia Sprint GT. So anyone interested in her please get in touch via the BB or PM me. I would like $5750 for her but I would listen to a good offer. All details on this car are posted previously in this thread.
Thanks,
Phil

When I lived up there 15 years ago, I looked at a sprint GT that was early enough to race in NB. I was after a project, but I thought this one was just too far gone.A guy called Derek bought it, but I moved away before he got it going.
