Wink A Thread Really About Alfas For Sale In Australia

Thought we might try again without Ben and Enri slapping each other and Phil occasionally throwing in progress reports on stripping the 1750...

OK, so with 19 hours to go, why hasn't this eBay 2600 Sprint attracted any bids? Is it a scam someone else spotted while I wasn't looking (I've been away...)

Nice idea Gavin...

As I said elsewhere, who would buy a car that has its lower 6" painted black?

Yes it seems like the other thread I started is about 25% on topic if it is lucky. The Pub was a good idea.
So as I mentioned in the other thread, not too many 105 sedans for sale although this one looks great value!

Giulia Super

and its not white Ben...

Ohhh... I gotta look closer at auctions I am only incidentally interested in

Derek, is "cafe latte" an original Alfa colour? And so reassuring that the electrics worked last time it was run... eleven years ago! $8K?!?

Enri, current BB record holder is Jim (papajam) with 5,691 posts (right now). Next nearest is Anthony (italcarguy) with 5,200-odd. The thing is that they deliver both quality and quantity.

Gav, how is your striptease going ? Mine is getting very scary now that I am under the carpets. I am amazed the car held together.

I dont think this car exists Derek. I tried to contact the owner to no avail, it is listed as a different colour to the picture and it seems to be left hand drive...

Okay, those photos have appeared since I tried to contact the seller - my hope was that I could have a matching coupe / sedan combo. That's been thwarted now.

To reappraise, I would now say its over-priced for the condition. What state are the plates from?

Ben,

Agree on the price. Qld plates normally have the numbers first, that's the best I can do on that one.

Ha ha you can't help yourself can you? Have a look at your stripping down thread and I'll give you an update (or not, as the case unfortunately is).

Well while we are on the subject, my Siuper:

1. is seriously for sale now that I have procured alternative Alfa transportation,

2. has no rust anywhere that I can find (except for a little surface rust at the battery tray that I've treated), and looks like it's never had any,

3. is very real, and fully road registered in Victoria as a 5-seater,

4. is looking for a good home.

I need to liquidate some assets to fund the new hiouse. My intention is certainly not to get out of Alfas (perish the thought) but to flog the 164 as daily shopping trolley/school bus and probably buy something cheapish (90/116/75/33) for sprints/comp. I may also resurrect my plans of building an Alfetta based clubman similar to this http://www.philipstorr.id.au/ricci/ricci.htm but with 1930s style bodywork (ah la 1750 Zagato).

I've had the Siuper only 6 months and not much has changed since I purchased it from Ian Hyland, ex AROCA-QLD president. BTW, It cost about $600 to ship it from the depot in QLD to my front door in Sale.

I've fixed a leaky brake reserviour, cleaned up the battery tray and fitted a new battery, fitted inertia reel belts up front, fitted 2X rear lap/sash and a centre lap belt, and fitted two rear child restraint mounts so you can harness the kids for club outings.

Heater box is currently out ofthe car to fit a new tap, but this will be all restored pretty soon.

C'mon fella's, make an offer, I'd love to keep her in-the-family so to speak.
