Targa 2007

Hi Guys,

Just watching some of the 2007 Targa Rally on Ch 7 ... didn't see any alfas though ... damn porsches were kicking classic asses ... still, better than some other cars I could mention.

Might have a look at the Targa website to see if any classic alfas were entered ...

BTW How about that stupid auction price for the GT Falcon ... around $400k wasn't it?!

Okay, just having a look at: http://www.targa.org.au/

Already looking good for 2008:

Chris Charge Neal Charge 1974 Alfa Romeo Montreal 105-65
Robert Kilsby TBA 1978 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV 2.0L
John Keating Bruce Ford 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider

I think I will be going next year!

Were you watching the same footage I was? I saw a Montreal, many Alfettas, including a couple in a ditch, and this 105.

This is the cover for the latest Vic club magazine which came out on Friday and features an article from Colin Byrne about his Targa adventures in this car. You'll have to join the club to get a copy!!

Just covering my a**e.

LOL ... maybe if you cite the article like you cited the photo your azz will be covered and you could reproduce the article here?!!!

Yeah, I just caught the end of the broadcast ... but it would be so cool to see the old cars going for it that I'm pretty sure that I'll be at the Targa next year!

Ha ha, would love to but it's supposed to be an incentive for people to join the club!

Here's a pic of the same car a couple of weeks ago at our dyno day. From memory it made 115hp at the wheels.

BTW, you realise that last year a GTV6 won the Classic section of Targa Tassie outright? I had a link to a press report about that somewhere, will try to locate it.
