Basically nowhere.

What's wrong with it?

ts ecu

Craig,
the car started to cough and then run on less than 4 pots, stopped and couldn't be started again.
A s/h one was bought and now runs fine, so I want to have the old one repaired.

Ian

My TS currently has a similar issue, sometimes misses under load, I'm currently trying to nut it out.

There are places in the UK which claim to sell rebuilt ECU's but I have my doubts about the rebuilding.

I have a wiring diagram of the ECU internals and have a background in electronics (years ago) but really need to identify what the issue (spark, fuel, etc.) is before delving deeper.

75 ts ecu

Craig,
Without proper test gear(only a Multimeter) and from downloading from your site the Motronic Ml4.1 info, i had deducted that spark, fuel were there and each test that I could do from TEST No 13 indicated the ecu. Putting in the s/h one and with only nw spark plugs the engine is fine. I have opened the ecu and there seems no visible signs of damage to the circuit. I have been thinking of changing the 'chip' of the s/h ecu to the old ecu and trying (this may eliminate one or the other)
Ian

Well, at this stage I can state that it is the same with either or both ignition systems and that the ECU reports no errors.

I might induce an error (air leak) and see if this is cleared by the fault. This would mean the ECU is resetting itself or loosing power.
