Carpet sets for 105s

Well gang I am about to take the plunge and strip down the 1750 for restoration, before I gut the interior I need to know if anyone makes carpet sets locally for 105's that are faithful to the original. My carpet is pretty well shot and may not come up in one piece, so I am not sure it would be usable for a pattern in any case.

Thanks,

Phil

I had my carpets done here in Canberra - the trimmer had the patterns. They've come up absolutely awesomely, and he even put some velcro up the front to stop them rucking up.

The trimmer is Custom Motor Trimming in Fyshwick. I don't think the material is spot-on original, but I'm reasonably certain the pattern is. He's a very good operator and very flexible, does a lot of classic cars. If you could source him the right material, I'm sure you could end up with something very authentic.

I made my own carpets for my '67 GTV. Bought 3 metres of charcoal/grey fleck auto-marine carpet off the roll from Clark Rubber, laid my original carpets over the top and started cutting.
Luckily, I have a g/f who loves sewing :-D
She sewed a hard-wearing nylon beading around the edges (which we decided looked better than the original vinyl beading), and I hand-stitched the curved panel to cover the centre-console and cut a new gearstick gaiter. All up cost, about $100. They look absolutely superb and they look very, very close to the original. A different pile yes, but a very original look at a saving of several hundred dollars, and a million times better looking than the faded and dusty rags that were there before.

Cheers,
-Col-
