Ok, I must come clean it is my 1966 Giulia Strint GT Veloce(GTV). This car is 100% original 1600cc and still has the Dunlop Brakes and is well known to the AROCA Members here in Sydney. The add was shot over one day in Sydney.

Simple, The Club (AROCA) received a request from the agency for a red Alfa of that age and condition that they wanted to use in this ad. They can and had a look at the car, yes that is what they wanted, and that was it.

So there is still taste out there. Its nice to know that the only desireable classics for TV aren't the hyper exotica or Porsche 911s.

OZ GTV, that's a great story for you to tell ... nice that you were able to be on set ... and that you're on this BB!!!
It was really the sound of the car that made me look for what it could be ... did they record your exhaust note? Also, I thought they could have shown a bit more of your car ... BTW really nice car!

Whose Alfa in the KFC Ad?
Congratulations on having your car used in the ad. I hope the ad agency gave you a "free" reel of the shoot. Actually, just watching an ad being shot or a movie is a real experience. I've seen several, Pat used to work for an ad agency and while our oldest daughter was attending UCLA they shot several movies there outside of Royce Hall, one of them was Van Wilder.
A little off topic, I've had a few friends invite me to visit Australia; I'm pleased to see that they serve food I recognize from the U.S. Does KFC there serve the "heart attack" bowls I love with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, pop corn chicken, and cheese?

Yes the sound was recorded as we drove the car around the block after the shoot had finished and the car was of the truck.
Here are a few more photos

Hmmm.. they are truly my favourite of the stepnoses... even more than GTA.
Nice car OZ GTV. I have seen the shortened version of the ad but I wait with baited breath to see the full deal.

Looking really great, and what an opportunity to get some airtime for our marque
EDIT: Just found out that the latest KFC-ads are available for streaming on their webpage ( www.kfc.com.au), but it isn't the one with the Alfa.
