I wish I had more shed space

During my now daily search of ebay and carsales for 105 series coupes I saw this,

ALFA ROMEO/RARE/COLLECTOR - eBay, Passenger Vehicles, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 16-Feb-09 20:14:12 AEDST)

I wish I had found something like this before I brought the alfetta or filled the shed with minis. If I had the space I couldn't get up to New South Wales quick enough.

Hey Lindsay.

Looks like a good project.
Was just wondering why the engine bay is black. Was car a different colour ?
Hey,,you can store 2 minis to 1 Alfa.
I also have the same problem= car storage.
I just found a 4 car garage 1 hr north of Sydney.
Maybe 8 minis could fit in there.
The advertised car is a 1300.
You know,,sometimes you can buy bargains like this one,and can cost more than a roadworthy car.
Been there,done that.

Robert

Looks like a great project, I hope it goes to someone who will do it correctly. Problem is I am more interested in the alfas than the minis so I am trying to fix up and sell about 3 minis, the market is bad at the moment though. I as soon as I sell a tx3 I have I will be able to buy a 105 series coupe. I have already found what appears to be the ideal car as well, a 1974 GTV 2000 that has $30000 in reciepts with it and best of all it is only 18kms from where I live and I can use it straight away. I know restoring cars is expensive having worked for a mini specialist for 2 years and watched people pouring money into cars they will never get the money back on (and minis are 1/2 the price of alfas to have restored). But as I have the ability to do everything except machining of mechanical components and refurnishing interior parts restoring cars is relatively cheap and very rewarding.

thats cheap as chips for a 105... someone will end up buying it, get sick of it and she'll end up crushed or something... what a pitty/waste!!

Cool. So long as the body wasn't completely shot, I'd fix up the mechanicals/make it safe, then roll it as is, with that sweet patina .
