alfa 75 v6 engine mounts

hey guys,

im in the process of getting my potenziata on the road. one of the many things on the list are the engine mounts.

i have two brand new side mounts and im still looking for the rear mount.

any tips on changing them over and any what not to dos?

The tube in the centre of the rear mount is offset, so take note of which way round it comes out. The front mounts I think you can probably do just by jacking the whole motor up.

either new front end off another 75. or do you own a welder ??

It's hard to see in the picture, but is it rust behind the paint? Hard to believe this would have happened unless the structure was severely weakened?

Whatever you do it will involve welding, and keep in mind this is obviously a highly stressed area. if it was me I think i would insert a new piece of steel with buttwelds and then overlap another for piece of mind. But find out why it happened first is a good plan before you decide on a fix
